history of our mountain
Silver Creek Community POA was created after a failed developer left us while only partially completing the community. Several hard working members continued and persevered to prevent our community from falling into bankruptcy in the mid 1980’s. Thanks to the vision of those owners, Silver Creek is alive, growing and a beautiful place.
We still have a lot to do, but we have a good foundation from which to build, good people and a stable infrastructure.
Here are some stories about our mountain that you may enjoy.

In March 2014, a Forest Service Officer, Jason Crisp, and his K-9 were killed in the line of duty while responding to a call nearby in town. As a benefit, Silver Creek Springs POA hosted a trail ride and dinner to benefit the Crisp family on July 5th. Read the fantastic news article below. All donations were provided directly to the Crisp family from our community. We had a great turn out.
